An engagement party is the warm-up for everything that follows, and it should feel like a proper celebration. Go cocktail style with roaming canapés and a grazing table for up to 250, or sit down to a long-table dinner for 20 to 180. Either way, you get a private bar, a coordinator who sorts the details, and a room made for “just engaged” photos.

The Wharf is minutes from Mooloolaba’s beaches and accommodation, so out-of-town guests can make a weekend of it. The Dock is next door when you want to keep going.

Can we visit before booking?
Yes. Site visits are by appointment. Contact our events team to book one.
Do you cater for dietary requirements?
Yes. Our kitchen caters for vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, dairy-free and allergy needs. Just let us know when you enquire.
Do you do the catering?
Yes, it’s all cooked in our onsite kitchen: canapés and grazing, shared platters and plated courses. No outside caterer needed.
Do you work with preferred suppliers?
Yes. We can recommend trusted florists, photographers, entertainers and stylists, and we’ll consider your own suppliers with prior approval.
Does the venue have AV?
Yes. Projectors and screens, microphones, a lectern and a sound system are all included.
How many guests can you fit?
The full venue holds 180 seated, 150 cabaret, 200 theatre style or 250 for a cocktail event. Sectional hire suits 20 to 80. The minimum is 20 guests.
Is the venue wheelchair accessible?
Yes, the venue is wheelchair accessible.
Is there a venue hire fee?
No. Minimum spends apply and vary by date.
Is there parking?
The Wharf precinct has limited free parking with time limits, and ParknGo Central, on the corner of Smith and First Avenue, is a short walk away. It’s open 24 hours, with charges after 4 hours. It’s worth passing this on to your guests before the day.

Weddings, engagement parties, corporate events, product launches, birthdays, fundraisers, wakes, cocktail parties and ticketed events.
